Safety and verification

Meeting moms you don't know yet takes trust. Here's what TribuMama does to make that first coffee feel easy, and what we recommend you do too.

A face check to join a tribe

Before you join or start a tribe, the app asks for a quick check with your front camera to confirm you're a real person. The check runs on your phone, and the image is never stored or uploaded to any server. Once you pass, your profile shows a verified mom badge. You can create a profile and explore the map without verifying, but you can't join a tribe.

Your location, neighborhood level only

We use your location to show you nearby tribes, but we never show it to other moms. On the map, tribes appear by area or neighborhood, never at an exact address, and your profile doesn't say where you live.

A chat inside the app

Every tribe has its own group chat inside TribuMama. You never need to give anyone your phone number, and the app blocks phone numbers typed into the chat.

Small, private groups

A tribe has 10 moms at most. There's no public feed, no followers and no profiles for anyone to swipe through. Only the moms in a tribe, and moms considering joining it, can see its members' profiles.

Reports, blocking and moderation

You can report a tribe, a member or a single message, and block anyone from their profile. Blocking removes them from your view straight away, and we personally review every report.

Tips for your first meetup

Meet somewhere public, like a park, a café or a library. Tell someone where you'll be. Take your time in the chat before meeting if you need to, and if something feels off, trust your gut and report it.
