Why TribuMama exists
I had two very different postpartum experiences. With my first baby I didn't have a single friend with kids, and I spent those months feeling lonely, exhausted and sure everyone else was coping better than me. The second time, something changed that had nothing to do with the baby: I wasn't alone, because I had other moms from my neighborhood close by to talk to at any hour.
Humans have raised children together for about two million years, surrounded by other mothers, grandmothers and neighbors. Raising kids alone is the modern exception. What's on offer today falls short: classes cost money and mean a commute, online groups are huge and anonymous, and most options are built around an activity instead of what you actually need, which is someone nearby going through the same thing.
So we built TribuMama, to make finding those moms in your neighborhood something that doesn't depend on luck.

- Safety and privacy are the foundation, and they shouldn't make anything harder for you
- Free for moms, always
- In a tribe everyone's equal, no hierarchy
