For midwives: so none of your patients goes through postpartum alone

Loneliness after birth is common and heavy. Many mothers have no family nearby, have recently moved, or are the first among their friends to have children.

Postpartum and breastfeeding groups help a lot, but they fill up or end. A tribe stays: its members live a short walk from each other and meet when it suits them.

It adds no work for you. Nobody to register, nothing to follow up. You hand over the brochure or forward a message, and the mother does the rest from her phone.

A free iPhone and Android app that brings mothers from the same neighborhood together in small groups, called tribes. Each mother says what stage she is at (pregnancy, newborn or early years), finds tribes near home or creates her own, and talks with her tribe in an in-app group chat until they meet in person.

• Verified mothers. To join or create a tribe, each mother passes a face check on her phone. The image is never stored or uploaded to any server.
• Neighborhood-level location only. Tribes show by area, never at an exact address, and no profile says where a mother lives.
• No phone numbers shared. Every tribe has its own chat inside the app, so nobody has to give their number to strangers.
• Small, private groups. Up to 10 mothers per tribe. No public feed, no followers.
• Free, and no selling data. It is free for mothers and we do not sell their personal data.
• No medical advice. TribuMama is for making friends, not for health questions. For those, your patients still have you.
